Ten dad-tested ways to soothe a crying baby

Fathers don't always get fair credit for all the nurturing they do. But if you check in with most dads, you'll find that they've got special tricks and tips for soothing crying babies. BabyCenter spoke to dads across the country to glean their favorite methods — beyond the obvious techniques of reaching for a pacifier or going for a midnight drive.

My take - so true!
For Nicky, ah dee always reaches out for the pacifier! (arrghh)...
For both Nicky & Nattie, he loves to do the Rock and swing - (and it works everytime)

Rock and swing: Babies love movement — and who better to swing them around than Daddy? "When my daughter started to cry, I would swing her back and forth in her infant car seat," says Eric Rimm, father of one in Boston. Rimm calls this the "dual-purpose swing," as it worked both as a baby sedative and a form of exercise. "I eventually noticed my right biceps and triceps were more developed than the left," he says.
