A Long Week~

yup..this is a very long week, gotta work OT on saturday..full day somemore le. It is not even mid-week yet and the tot of it makes me feel so sian liao..haiz..hope that this week can pass like a breeze!! The usual short weekend is never enough..well at least I manage to do some shopping on Saturday..went to Ikea with daddy & mummy.. bought wrapping paper and other stuff so looks like I have to do all my x'Mas wrapping soon before all my shopping piles up and the living room will look like a warzone... I also got something for Bebe doggie!! :)

~it's his new-bed!! we are trying to get him used to his bed before we move to sengkang~cos he will lose his "territory" under the sofa as we will not be bringing the old sofa to sengkang...

As for daddy, he's now got black eyes becos of the blood circulation that is flowing downwards..so he looks like a panda with real bad eye-bags..the swell on his forehead has gone down quite alot, now only the scar left..lucky lucky..

2nd Antenatal Class

Yesterday we attended our 2nd antenatal class and these are the things that we've learnt so far in our 1st & 2nd lessons. Now you can ask me anything from the following:

For lesson 2, I shall say that it was a memorable one for me becos i am glad that ah dee made it VERY unforgettable **wink** :)

Most importantly for us mothers, where practising our pelvic floor muscles, we mustn't practise holding our pee (for 5 - 10secs) more than once a day, if not it will cause Urinary Tract Infection..wah jialat..

Visit @ the doctors

Finally it is 5pm and we are waiting for our turn at dr Wong's ~ I took my weight today and I've put on a total of 11kg since i am preggie :) **cross my fingers le...now only 30th week.. still got 10 more to go*** ooopss...

Ashley is weighing 1.52kg today. dr Wong said to plus/minus 10% of the weight measured..cos it is an estimation. hee... now ashley is on an average size, which is good news cos it'll be easier for me to push..but still must be careful of the size cos I can still gain or lose weight in the next few weeks.. dr Wong gave me the "count-to-ten" fetal movement chart to start on my 32nd week..but I will start it this week, just to make sure that everything goes well.. cos as long as I'm in my 3rd trimester, I can start liao. So i will have to monitor about 10 movements per day, have to be more than 5 movements, any lesser, to see her immediately so that she can scan ashley and check..

After we finish off at TMC and was tabo-ing dinner from chomps when dad called.. a dead wood dropped from the tree and hit him on his head, causing a Super-big "baluku" (blue-black) on his forehead..and his car was dented too! lucky it hit his forehead and not the back if not it would have been worse... so he went to see dr Lokey and got a letter to go hospital for an immediate x-Ray. We went to mount alvernia hospital for the x-Ray and then dad had to go to tan tock seng for another scan as his nerves didnt look normal in the x-Ray. And oso there is a doctor @ ttsh to check on such things, we decided to go down..it was already 10plus so he had to join the A & E queue for his turn... and by the time he was done, it was almost 2am.

Lucky the ttsh doc said that nothing is wrong..jus have to go home and monitor for the next 24hrs to make sure that nothing goes wrong..
**heng eh!**

Antenatal class

We started our 1st antenatal class with the famous ParentCraft & Senior Lactation Consultant, mrs Wong Boi Boi! Am glad that we will be having all our lessons with her.. heard so much about her and she is indeed very experienced and funny.. :) at least we understood some of the myths / traditions that I really feel that some ah-ma and aunties should attend her lessons too!!! We did some stretching exercises and learnt the correct way of breathing, also she went through the importance of a balanced diet for both myself and ashley.

lucky ah Dee didnt fall asleep in class too! :) Looking forward to our next lesson on Thursday~

Sunday nite~
Had dinner last nite with my sweet niece~shannon and here are the pics..

Monday monday~
For a start, today...it is the usual monday blues...and the didnt help much as well... the rain was like typhoon just before lunch.. and i was looking thru my organiser and I found something that I can look forward to, which is TOMORROW! Gynae check-up at 5pm with Dr wong, our visit every fortnightly now.. can get to see ashley and how well he is progessing! will update his details and of cos my progress *in weight-wise* after tomorrow's visit :)

Another happy news to share...Joelle had told me that she is having a gal and she will be naming her Megan (wat a nice name)! Congrats to joelle and richard! Now she can officially shop for pink color and girly stuff liao! Instead of choosing the usual white, grey and yellow colors, I can understand:)

...and thanks to them, my wish came true cos I finally went to Terrence & Darren's home made Ice-Cream shop @ marine parade ~Ice Cream Chefs.. and have my Ice-Cream! i had Rum & Raisin with brownies, tried Rum & Raisin with KoKo Crunch compliments from Cooks. Fran had yummy peanut Butter with Kinder Bueno etc, and Dul had a surprise from Darren, ice-cream with Coffee, chocalate, Oreo i tink..wah very very rich! :)

Well, you have a choice of up to 33 flavours to mix in your ice-cream..yum yum... must try the others the next time!

Happy BIRTHDAY to SengSter & aunt Sue~

...we celebrated both ah dee & aunt sue's birthday yesterday, 29 Oct 2007..this is an annual affair as both their birthdays fall on the same day.. :)

it was a last minute decision on where to go for dinner and since it was raining quite a bit and we would prefer hot soup to chicken rice (boon tong kee), we decided on Bah Ku Teh @ balestier... Dad was working, so he couldn't join us.. but Thanks to rest that made it for dinner!! It was a pleasure... especially when it has been 2 weeks since i've seen the 2 boys.. Dinner was good, great soup that made mich visit the toilet twice before reaching gardens...poor thing. We didnt want to buy a cake and bring it out to cut so we settled for some milkshake and artic roll at home instead...

...yup yup i LOVE wedding dinners le.. just like to see the couple walking in, and watching the slides of their bridal pictures, montage, videos and lastly the food!! i always pig out during the dinner..dunno why, but I love wedding food (the best part, nice or not nice, i still eat, so greedy hor)! and since i am preggie, i don't even need to worry if my stomach might be showing...hahaha... It is ah dee's secondary schoolmate's wedding and the food is surprisingly good since the last wedding that I've attended there. Both the food and the company was great!! It is very difficult to find such a good combo at weddings, where you can sit with the people you know and do not have to feel shy / awkward or scratch ur heads to create small talks... :)

Online Shopping AGAIN!!!!

...yup just came back from collecting my stuff from meiji (the spree co-ordinator) and some of my Online shopping have arrived finally!! these are from Old Navy & Gap....yippeeee!! More addition to ashley's closet! which means i need to get make space for his wardrode soon...The socks are so cute! they come in a pack of 3 and I bought it becos of the little mouse...hahahah.... Now that my dress has arrived, and lucky it fits, still have some space at the moment too, which means I can wear it for awhile and I can buy more dresses liao..ooopss...
