jaundice :(

Nattie's 1st day out to the PD to see Dr Keoy.
And her Jaundice level went up to 19.5 cos there was NO SUN yesterday morning!!! :( so sad le. So Dr Keoy said she needs phototherapy to help bring the jaundice level down...we had only 2 choices, either to leave her in the hospital or to rent the machine home...
With a very heavy heart, ah dee & I decided to leave her in the hospital cos it will be more appropriate with expert care from the nurses, and she'll be in beta hands...so i hope that the jaundice level will go down...and down and be gone foreva!

arrghhh, now i feel that part of me was left behind at the hospital. :(

Took a pic while waiting for admission to be done... my poor gal, please get well by Saturday so that you can come home k?

2nd Day

Due to the H1N1 Flu thingy, i guess all hospitals have became very stringent in their rules and they only allow 2 vistors at each time! Sianz~ and we were only told when our vistors arrived yesterday evening...how embarrassing.... sorry about the mad rush...
Do come over anytime to our place after monday onwards k? Although i'll be doing confinement, wearing pyjamas and socks, don't worry, I DO TAKE SHOWERS AND WASH MY HAIR K? :)

In the meantime, here's Natie on her 2nd day....a clearer view (pic taken with kaoFu's power Hp)

Baby No.2: Week 38

Sorry for the late posting...here's the updates from monday....

Visited dr Wong this evening...yup our last time waiting for our gynae check-up. :)
today, baby's head is engaged already...but still not that low that I may pop anytime..so we can still wait till Friday :)

Today, here's our weight:
Baby No.2: 3kg
Myself: 62.7kg

And the plan is no more food & water for me at Friday 12am.
To check-in to the hospital at 6am.
Prepare for the c-sect and by 8am, time for c-sect! That's the plan!

...so far, I am looking forward for baby no.2 to come. Getting kinda excited actually, cos it is going to another bundle of joy for our family. Am not sure how we really are going to cope with nicky and baby no.2...but somehow, i just know it will be fine! ;P

Worried? Yup, somehow I am le...honestly...but am worried abit the pain and the after-birth effect, cos I really cant remember what the pain was like after the epidural wears off...hope it will be bearable. Hope my stitches heals fast too, so that I can carry nicky soon!!!

Baby No.2: Week 36

This is funny!
Which tummy is bigger? Pic 1 or Pic 2?
1st pic: my week 36 pic when i was preggie with nicky in Jan 2008!
2nd pic: is the present, in my week 36 on sunday, also with nicky (looking v grumpy)...together with Baby No.2 in May 2009!

We were just taking pictures and comparing which tummy was bigger? was it when i was preggie with nicky or the with baby no.2?
So i decided to have a funny post...tho' the pics are not v glam...hee hee i even purposely put on the same t-shirt just to see the diff! wahahahahh :)

Thanks to KaoFu for the pics!

Flu~Bug

KaoFu & Nicky

Nicky has a slight Flu today... :( and I hope that the stupid bug goes off tomorrow! Lucky KaoFu dropped by this evening, which made our little fren v happy! and as a routine, his favourite KaoFu will always bring him down for a walk at the playground. So now you know why this is his favourite KaoFu? ;)

Earlier this afternoon, since I was home, I manage to clear and pack the kid's room~cos we need to make some space for Baby No.2.

Our Goal for today:
To fit the playpen into the kids room; so we had to shift the changing table and the stack of toys that were piling up in the corner of the room-it was almost mountain high! Actually it wasn't just all toys, there were quite a number of bags and it was clothes for Baby No.2!

So me and my helper ended up sorting out the clothes, some to wear now and some to wear at a later time. :) Thanks for all the new and hand-me-down clothes! I just simply love all of them and I cant wait to see her wearing all of them! For most of the newborn clothes, it has already been washed and now it is sitting in the cupboard, ready to be worn. My helper is now washing the 3rd batch of clothes, including socks and new mittens/booties that I bought from the last BHG sale, cos they are more girly (what an excuse). :)

How to raise a happy child

A very interesting post by Zena:

She found an interesting article on baby Centre on How to raise a happy child (ages 2 to 4).

In the article, “a happy child smiles, plays, shows curiosity, socializes with other children, and doesn't need constant stimulation.”“The signs of an unhappy child are clear: The child "is withdrawn, quiet, not eating very much, doesn't spontaneously get involved with other children, doesn't play, doesn't ask questions, doesn't laugh and smile, and has very spare speech."

The Learning Process - Eating

I guess it is time for nicky to try and eat on his own, yesterday was the 1st attempt and it wasn't as messy as i thought it would be. :)

Aecrobats?

Came home and found out that our dear Aecrobat had just done a stun buy standing on his ball and boom!!! he slipped and hit the side of the play-yard. Well, accidents do happen...

well, he was still smiling and making faces, while i was trying to take his picture :)
