A day of Fun in the Sun

A day of fun for us today! Finally and yes, I would like to say again FINALLY it is not raining on a Sunday afternoon! and we are able to go swimming after Nicky's class @ Little Neuro Tree.

My 2 boys are able to have some fun in the sun today! before, setting off, a pic for me (too dark)
and a nice little kiss for daddy~
not long before nicky wants to get out of the float...now he prefers to walk in the water by himself...

and today, he learned something new again :) he can climb up the pool by himself....
and there he is, playing & splashing water instead of staying inside the pool ~

Little Neuro

Well, what is this all about? (taken from the site: It is a unique tri-lingual programme using brain stimulation technologies to build knowledge, confidence and love for learning.) For more information: http://www.littleneurotree.com/program.php

Nicky has attended his 2nd Japanese Language class from little Neuro Tree and I feel that the teachers . So far, he has been able to respond to the activities during the class. What they use, are mainly flash cards...singing songs, using props to motivate motor skills, using smell and taste to stimulate their sense of smell. As the session is only 1 hr long, i feel that there's more to do when we are at home and out.. :)

Sunday Morning

We went to SengKang Library on sunday morning while waiting for seats at Jack's Place for lunch :) Nicky had a good time, playing with the chairs and tables and finally settled down to flip the books that i shortlisted for him...and we ended up borrowing all 4 books for him :)

Hopefully we will complete reading all of the 4 books...cos one of them is in Chinese le...Oooopss..
At Jack's Place, while waiting for our lunch, here's the lil' terror entertaining himself with the plate and cutlery...

and of cos the kapo-ing around and looking ard~
at least one nice shot for mummy! :)

Cheap fun for kids:

5 cheap and fun baby activities:
Let 'er rip
Maybe it's that pleasing shredding sound or maybe it's the satisfaction of making a permanent change in something, but babies love to tear up paper. So plunder your recycling box for magazines or junk mail – when you see that gappy smile on your baby's face as she gets to work, you won't even mind the mess.

Dog days
You could take your baby to the zoo, but don't be surprised if he falls fast asleep – or favors the water fountain over the orangutans. Instead, try a park where he can see dogs playing. It's a lot less overwhelming and every bit as exciting, plus it doesn't cost a penny. Just be sure to practice
good doggy-and-child safety habits. You might want to carry your baby in your arms or a baby carrier to make sure he's safe when watching and petting the pups (with permission, of course).

Flashlight games
Turn off the lights, close the blinds, grab a flashlight, and lie back on the floor for a rockin' light show with your little one. Dance the light beam along the ceiling and walls as your baby stares in delight. An older baby might like to try holding the flashlight herself (though you shouldn't be surprised if all she does is gum it). Just don't let her shine it directly in her eyes – or, for that matter, in yours.

Dining out
For a change of pace, set up your baby's highchair in the backyard or out on the front stoop and, between bites, let him fling the food wherever he likes. He'll feel like he's won the lottery! A bit short in the yard department? No worries – bring a booster chair to the park and set it right on the grass. Throw in some bubbles and you've got a perfect recipe for a fun-filled morning.

Go clubbing
In your living room, that is. Turn on your favorite music and dance with your baby in your arms. She'll be in seventh heaven – after all, she'll be enjoying three of her favorite things in the world simultaneously: music, bouncing, and closeness to you.

My call: This article suggest some ways for fun with our babies....most importantly, as long as you spend time and make them quality time, your babies will be more then delighted.

TGIF every Bardi! :)

Baby No.2: Week 28

Yesterday was another check-up...long awaited one, these are the updates on us:
My weight: 58.3kg (wah! put on 2.7kg in 1 mth!)
Bb: approx. 1.230 grams
Dr wong says that my weight is ok, i can continue to snack cos i haven't been putting on much weight as compared to my 1st pregnancy. And since i am opting for a C-sect, i can eat as much as I want! heheheh :) but then losing weight after that will be a bigggggggggg challenge man... anyways, hope baby is getting all the good stuff...Dr wong says that baby will be under the medium-sized catagory, estimated weight at birth for her will be 3.0kg.

Then we met ah dee's ex-classmate who is working for CordLife~ so we are still considering if we should store this baby's cord with CordLife or StemCord... urm, rates are similar...but only big difference is that for CordLife, we will be able to bring the cord out of Singapore next time, if we are overseas...so any comments or recommendations to those who have stored their babies, please leave a message or comment :)

am waiting for my new place to be ready, so that i can have a cupboard for the both of them...and then, it'll be time to fill up the cupboard with girly stuff for baby no.2! :)

Drive-Thru'

It was a day off for my maid yesterday and ah dee woke up early to babysit nicky.
For breakfast, we wanted to order McDelivery but guess wat? their delivery system was down...so we have to dine-in at the nearest outlet...

But the problem was, no one else was home....so, ah dee suggested that we bring BeBe along and we could go to the drive-thru at sengkang sports recreation centre (which kaofu has been telling us).... and so off we went.

Ah dee also said, that this is the 1st time, nicky is going out with BeBe!! Lucky i manage to grab my camera in time to capture this moment.... :)
Well, this drive-thru is rather different, we had to stop 3 times wor...1st booth was to place orders. Then proceed to the 2nd booth, to Pay. Then proceed to the 3rd booth to collect our orders.
The first thing that came to my mind was, too much manpower?
anyways, we headed home for a nice Breakie! :)
